Information for Researchers

Research is an integral part of APL and complements our commitment to patient care. We work collaboratively with local, national and international partners to support new and ongoing research and development initiatives. APL can provide access to unique, human samples and datasets that can support to study the patterns, presentation, progression and treatment of disease. We work with pharmaceuticals and/or diagnostics companies to aid in the development of innovative diagnostics and treatments as they progress along the beta-testing and regulatory approval pathway.

APL plays a key role in the development of Alberta’s diagnostic biotech industry providing partnership with local industry leaders and working to expand upon existing relationships with Alberta’s Universities. By supporting clinical trials, research in basic laboratory sciences, and epidemiological studies APL strives to identify, refine and advance novel scientific discoveries and supports the translation of today’s research into tomorrow’s diagnostics and treatments.
